Universal Design Studio developed the interior design for the public areas of 100 Liverpool Street – British Land’s first net zero carbon workplace. Their vision was to create a hybrid space as an antidote to the archetypical corporate lobby, welcoming both residents and the local public to enjoy these facilities with ease. To highlight this forward-thinking ethos, Universal approached Astrid to produce a short film that promotes the design’s key messages in a highly creative and engaging way. The aim was to visually tell the story so that it resonates on social media as well as serves as a promotional tool to showcase the detailed design features.

What we did

To capture the essence of 100 Liverpool Street, we created a cinematic journey. We developed a concept that covers all marketing points with a flowing narrative and warming visual language. To further humanise the space, we recruited a movement artist. Each choreographed motion naturally mirrors the architectural rhythm of the interior. The camera follows the intuitive flow of the dancer, playing with speed, light, wide angles and close-ups. These playful moments highlight the richness of materiality, colour, texture and finish, all the while capturing the audience’s imagination. Versioned for each social channel, with teaser clips and a long-form video, Universal were able to tell this design’s story with creative confidence and genuine impact.
